Klaasen & Co takes over the NV Wilki shares

Both brands, production sites and employees will be retained.

NV Klaasen & Co has reached an agreement with the Willems family on the acquisition of shares of NV Wilki.

Both brands reinforce each other

NV Wilki, known for decades as a buyer and supplier of spent layer hens with the best quality, finds in Klaasen the perfect partner to be able to continue the activities in the long run.
NV Klaasen & Co, traditionally active in the production of broilers and hatching eggs, is also a leading company in the slaughter of layer hens and focuses – under the brand “Pluvera” – on the sustainable processing of products from the poultry industry. With the addition of Wilki in Weelde, it can continue to guarantee the purchase of hens from the poultry farmers from the wide region.

Both family-run companies have built up a strong position in the international market thanks to their quality and service and through their synergy, they can become an even stronger partner in the rapidly evolving egg production chain. Together, they will become one of the major players in the European layer hen market.

No noticeable changes for the employees

This acquisition does not entail any noticeable changes. Not only the 2 production sites but also brands “Pluvera” and “Wilki” remain and retain their uniqueness.
